The best laid plans.......
Short blog today as we have had a long day in the saddle!
Toby and Russ, the fine chaps that they are, were up early fitting a new USB charger to my bike while Terry kindly polished Tim and my boots!
Breakfast followed with ice cream chasers. We finally hit the road at 0940, off into the mountains, safe in the knowledge we did not need fuel for 100km..... Untill Russ went onto reserve after 30 km! A rapid re plan saw us detour along the Ho Chi Minh highway for 28 km both ways to fill up in a little village.
Then it was straight on for 144 kks on the highway, so we let the ex Army officer lead, What could possibly go wrong. Nothing till 145 km point!
Having ridden through over 100km of jungle, the signs turnd into english and we happened upon an outward bound £Eco" site. Zip wires, water slides and very minimal bikini bottoms were the order oif the day, so we had to stop and have lunch!
It was then getting late and a final dash into Huong Dong in the dreadful dusty twighlight: 305 km in total, a bloody long day Then it was find a hotel and check in. My room has squadrons of mossies waiting to attack.
